MR. ANIL NAGRATH FILES PIL ( PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION ) IN BOMBAY HIGH COURT FOR GUIDELINES IN RESPECT OF REVIEWS AND RATINGS OF FILMS BY THE PRESS
Mr. Anil Nagrath , Chairman Nagrath Consultants on behalf of various Producers has filed a PIL in the Bombay High Court on 7th of October, 2009 against the Union of India and Press Council of India appealing to the Court to advise the Union of India as well as the Press Council of India to frame guidelines in the matter of Reviews and Ratings of films in the press because total arbitrariness in the matter of Reviews and Ratings of Feature film was causing heavy losses to Producers and there was urgent need to frame guidelines to minimize the losses of Producers on account of such arbitrariness in the Reviews and Ratings of such films.
The PIL will be very shortly taken up and heard by the Bombay High Court.
This press release is issued with a view to invite like minded producers to join the petition as filed if they wish to and not any other purpose.
